Kelson Group Property Development (Kelson Group) is celebrating a significant milestone at City Gardens as homeowners have started to move into Trillium, the 24-storey residential tower that has transformed the skyline of downtown Kamloops. The milestone marks the culmination of years of community engagement, planning, construction, and sales for Trillium with Alyssium, Orchid, and other buildings within the City Gardens development rising fast.
To date, 17 homeowners have taken possession of their homes in Trillium, with move-ins continuing daily over the coming weeks and months as the community steadily comes to life.
“This milestone of residents moving in is meaningful because it represents the coordinated approach of so many skilled people who have worked on this project,” said Jason Fawcett, President of Kelson Group. “City Gardens represents our company’s vision of helping people live better by creating homes and communities designed around lifestyle, convenience, and connection. Welcoming homeowners into Trillium is the realization of that vision.”
Among the first residents to move in were Kelson Group’s founder and Executive Director, Ron Fawcett, with his wife Rae who have chosen to call Trillium home. It’s a reflection of the company’s confidence and personal commitment to the new community they have helped create.
Since launching sales four years ago on May 28, 2022, Trillium has attracted a diverse mix of buyers, including downsizers, first-time homebuyers, and investors. The development has recently seen a surge in interest from downsizers seeking walkable, low-maintenance living in the city’s downtown core. Trillium homeowners who have just moved in have shared how excited they are to see the building’s modern design, quality finishings, amenity spaces, and secure underground parkade. This is positive news for Fawcett and team, who have desired to bring a new energy and residential vibrancy to downtown Kamloops with City Gardens, and they look forward to others considering Trillium home.
“Currently, Trillium has apartments available for purchase, and demand has been particularly strong for one-bedroom north-facing units, which are now sold out,” shared Fawcett. “There are still a number of select studios, one-bedroom homes, and limited northeast-facing two-bedroom residences in Trillium, plus our soon-to-launch Level Up collection.”
Construction of Trillium involved hundreds of tradespeople, consultants, and project partners, with more than 200 workers on-site during peak construction periods. The efforts of contractors, consultants, tradespeople, sales teams, and project partners have helped make the vision a reality.
“We are thankful to everyone who has been a part of the rise of Trillium,” Fawcett noted. “We would also like to thank those within the neighbourhood who have seen a lot of changes come to downtown, and we appreciate the welcome they have extended to us.”
