Discover Urban Luxury: One and Two Bedroom Suites at City Gardens May 21, 2024

At City Gardens, you will find an enticing blend of urban convenience and luxury living. Among the different layouts offered at Trillium Tower, the one and two-bedroom suites offer unparalleled comfort and ample living space that caters to diverse lifestyle for both first time homebuyers and downsizers. We spoke to Kelson Group’s interior design director and lead, Trish Becher, to learn more about what makes these units a desirable choice for prospective residents.

One-bedroom suites are found all throughout the 24-storey tower. From levels 3 through 18, these units are 521 and 599 square ft., while the one-bedroom layout with den has a little more space, with a total of 662 square ft.

“The layout for the smaller one-bedroom unit is also found all the way to level 21, with a compact and cozy living room and a 160 square ft. balcony,” explained Becher. “The L-shaped kitchen layout allows for a table and chairs, and prospective residents will have the option to upgrade to an island with an eating bar instead of a table and chairs.”

For the larger one-bedroom unit, the kitchen has an island with eating bar, as well as space for a small table and chairs or desk. The main living space is wider and more open feeling, with a 151 square ft. balcony space.

Similarly, the one-bedroom plus den units have an even larger kitchen with island and eating bar, as well as room for a small table and chairs. The living room opens to a 92 square ft. balcony space and the den offers a flexible workspace that is off from the main area, perfect for those that work remotely from time to time or prefer to have a separate work zone for their laptop station or hobbies.

As you go up to level 22, the one-bedroom unit offers ample space with 811 square ft. and a 146 square ft balcony to enjoy the views of the city.

Given their functional design that offers just enough space for the essentials, one-bedroom suites are ideal for those living an active and minimalist lifestyle.

“These units are the perfect fit for someone who doesn’t necessarily spend lot of time at home,” said Becher. “They work during the day or schedule their day with an active routine like going to the gym or walks, visiting the library, attending an event or meeting up with friends.”

Additionally, someone looking to live alone would also be an ideal fit for a one-bedroom suite at Trillium. With a security system in place for both the building and the parkade, residents living alone can have peace of mind.

On the other hand, two-bedroom suites offer more living space for those who don’t want to be tied down to yard work and home maintenance but still want the feel of a single detached home or townhome.

From levels 3 through 18, the two-bedroom units are between 886 and 1001 square ft., and as you go up to levels 19 through 21, layouts become significantly bigger, with spaces between 968 and 1583 square ft. Lastly, on level 22, two-bedroom units can range from 1506 to 1529 square ft., with balconies as big as 406 square ft.

As corner units, these get the fullest advantage of natural lighting and views, with big windows that create a sense of spaciousness within the main area.

“Two-bedroom units are the perfect fit for homeowners that want to downsize the maintenance of having a home, but not necessarily sacrifice what the home offers for space. These residents enjoy being at home and having guests over for a visit, while also having the same benefits of the building’s amenities, and walkable entertainment and activities in the city,” explained Becher.

As you can already tell, whether you live alone and embrace a minimalist lifestyle or want to downsize while taking advantage of ample living space, one and two-bedroom suites cater to diverse needs and preferences to help you live better.
