As Fall slowly starts to make its way to Kamloops, take advantage of the remaining sunny days by exploring some of Downtown’s best outdoor patios or taking part in some of the new events coming to town this month– all just blocks away from the City Gardens Neighbourhood!

Carlos O’Bryan

This Irish themed pub is perfect for friends, family, and anyone looking for great food and drinks. Choose between the sidewalk patio with tables on the shady side of 357 Victoria Street or enjoy the sunshine from up top of their rooftop patio. If you’re feeling lucky, join their Tremendous Trivia Night every Tuesday at 8:00 pm for an entertaining and free trivia show – and the chance to win amazing prizes!

Casa Azul

Casa Azul is an authentic Mexican Restaurant located at 330 Victoria Street in the heart of Downtown Kamloops. The restaurant has a beautiful sidewalk patio where you can treat yourself to a lovely meal under the sun. Indulge in the culinary delight of Mexican cuisine by trying the variety of dishes they offer – including strawberry margaritas, ranchera quesadillas, and carnitas tacos. But make sure to leave space for dessert, as their crunchy churros are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

The Noble Pig

The Noble Pig is Kamloops’ first and only Microbrewery that combines house-made craft brewed beer and unique beer fusion cuisine. Located on 650 Victoria Street in Downtown Kamloops, this place has a one-of-a-kind patio where you can enjoy great food in a welcoming and comfortable environment. The best part is that their patio is dog-friendly, so your fluffy friend can join you for a delicious meal at an outdoor table.

If you are looking for new outdoor events to enjoy Kamloops’ vibrant community, check out these events happening in August.

RibFest 2023: August 11th-13th

From 11 am to 10 pm, make your way down to Riverside Park at 100 Lorne Street to enjoy Western Canada’s biggest Rib Festival. Over these three days, delight with award-winning ribs, try a variety of local food vendors and enjoy live entertainment. If you are bringing your kids, check out the Family Fun Zone, featuring bouncy castles, face painting, kids’ games and more. The best part about this event is that not only are you going to have a great time, but you will also be helping, as 100% of the profits raised at Ribfest are put back into the community.
