Studio suites at City Gardens April 15, 2024

At City Gardens, you will find an enticing blend of urban convenience and luxury living. Among the different layouts offered at Trillium Tower, Studio suites stand out for their minimalist yet efficient design, cost-effectiveness, and modern amenities. We spoke to Kelson Group’s interior design director and lead, Trish Becher, to learn more about what makes Trillium’s Studios a desirable choice for those looking to adopt a simpler lifestyle.

At Trillium, Studio suites have been meticulously crafted to maximize every inch of space, catering to individuals who lead a busy life and do not spend a lot of time at home.

With the growing trend of minimalistic lifestyles and more people looking to downsize, these units are an especially attractive option.

“More people are embracing living in a less excessive manner. Some people love the notion of having a smaller space to care for, especially those who travel a lot, have an RV or weekend home, or live part-time down south,” said Becher.  “Retirement today also seems to be more about experiences and often comes with the mindset that living life to the fullest doesn’t equate to having a big house with a lot of stuff.”

With two different layouts to choose from, prospective residents can create a cozy, yet functional living environment tailored to their needs.

Type A units, found on levels 5 through 18, boast an interior space of 502 square ft, complemented by a balcony with 179 square ft. On the other hand, Type A1 units are found on levels 3 and 4 and offer 424 square ft of interior space with 179 square ft of space for the balcony. While situated on different floors, both units offer breathtaking views, providing residents with a picturesque backdrop to their daily lives.

“For some people, it’s not about the size of the home, it’s about the lifestyle they are living. Why not have that smaller home base in a high-rise with a view? That is part of their experience and enjoyment,” added Becher.

To optimize the space and guarantee a comfortable living environment, these Studio suites feature open floor plans that eliminate hallways, ensuring all the spaces are accessible from the main area. A privacy wall between the bedroom area and the main living space also creates a sense of separation and offers a place for the TV without the need for bulky doors, enhancing the overall functionality of the layout.

Besides the kitchen being thoughtfully equipped with essential appliances and ample storage space, Becher also mentioned that the inclusion of an in-suite laundry closet within the bathroom adds convenience without taking up a full walk-in-closet or small room.

In addition, Studio condo owners will also be able to take full advantage of amenities and common areas spaces as an extension of their modest space, using them more frequently.

“With the Trillium Tower’s fitness room, yoga space and bicycle storage, there is no need for additional space within one’s unit for this. Likewise, both the amenity room on level 2 as well as the Sky Lounge/Library on level 22 offer additional quiet space for working from home,” explained Becher.

Whether it’s embracing a minimalist lifestyle or enjoying the convenience of a centrally located residence, Studio suites cater to the diverse needs and preferences of modern homeowners. With their efficient layouts, modern amenities, and versatile appeal, these units will help future residents of Trillium live better.
