Trillium at City Gardens has applied for the Revitalization Tax Exemption (RTE). The tax exemption, once it is finally approved, typically starts the year following occupancy and grants a 10-year tax exemption on the increase to the municipal portion of city taxes. Although buyers will still be responsible for their annual city taxes, including but not limited to hospital and school tax, the tax revitalization exemption will offer significant savings. It will help make the annual city taxes more affordable for buyers for a period of 10 years. Those interested in understanding the more in depth details can visit here. For example, on $600,000 assessment, the estimated tax savings annually would be $2,179.89. That is a 10-year savings of $21,798.92.
